About me
I have been working as a full-time freelance Italian to English translator since 2004; I was born and educated in the United States and I currently reside in Florence, Italy. I have a strong general academic background and have lived in Italy for four years.
In 2006 I produced a total of over 700,000 words of translated documents, largely in the general subject areas of law and finance. The following is a brief selection of some of these documents (due to non-disclosure agreements I cannot reveal the names of my end clients, many of which are leading Italian companies, law firms, and subsidiaries of large international groups):
- financial statements, accounts, press releases, prospectuses, and other investor relations materials for a wide range of Italian banks, companies, and public enterprises - many types of contracts (leases, financing, employment, insurance) for use in various jurisdictions - a report about labour conditions in Italy published by the Italian Ministry of Labour - a series of articles on international politics, economics, and social issues for a weekly review published by a major Italian banking group - a web site for a major international chemical company - auditing documents for a bankruptcy trial of international relevance - a product brochure for a leading Italian telecoms company (mobile phone rate plans) - an executive training course - corporate code of conduct guidelines - a web site for a network of museums
References (kindly specify translation field) are available upon request. Please note that I generally do not offer revision or proofreading services. Potential customers are advised that the rate listed is my minimum rate and any job offers for lesser amounts will be politely declined. Enquires from fellow freelancers regarding possible partnerships or other collaborative arrangements are welcomed.
